Feodosia

Feodosia is a small city with a permanent population of just over 70 thousand people, located on the shore of Feodosiya Bay, which is in the southeast of the Crimea. Feodosia is a fairly large Black Sea port and at the same time a popular resort with developed infrastructure.

The climate of Feodosia

The climate of Feodosia is intermediate between the steppe and subtropical, for it is characterized by hot, arid and sunny summer. The average daily air temperature in June is 20.8 ° C, July 23.4 ° C, August 22.8 ° C, September is already 18.4 ° C, the mean minimum in July and August is 20 ° C.

The swimming season opens usually in June, in July-August the average daily water temperature is 21.1 ° C. The sun above the resort shines 2265 hours a year, which is more than, for example, in Yalta. Unfortunately, there is no velvet season here, which means that in the second half of September it will be already cool to sunbathe and swim.

Beaches of Feodosia

The beaches of Feodosia are rather wide and mostly sandy, with a gentle bottom and a slowly growing depth. Most of them are free and well-equipped, but practically for all the good, except perhaps for changing cabins, they will have to pay. As in all major resorts of Crimea in the season, the beaches are overcrowded.

Another and not the most pleasant feature of urban beaches is the suspicious streams flowing in several places right across the beach. Local residents argue that this is livnovki. The truth is not entirely clear what is flowing in the livnevkam, if for several days there was no rain. Whatever it was, we advise you to stay away from these streams just in case.
