Calm, a small
resort Massandra is located on the Black Sea coast at the foot of the majestic
Crimean mountains. The city has a reputation as a remarkable balneological
resort and is the capital of Crimean wines, here is the oldest wine cellar in
the Crimea. Massandra is located between Yalta and Nikita and is not considered
an expensive resort. Here tourists like to come, prefer quiet
family rest.
The resort is located in a subtropical climate zone, so the summer is long, hot and sunny. The average daily air temperature in the hottest months - July and August is about 24 ° C, in June - just below 21 ° C. The sea warms up to a sufficient temperature for swimming in June. The bathing and velvet seasons come to an end, as in neighboring Yalta, in late September - early October.
Most of the beaches in Massandra are pebble artificial. Beaches are well-equipped: they are sheltered from the sun, cabanas, cafes, you can rent deckchairs and umbrellas.
Municipal beaches are free of charge, but they are surrounded by large VIP and club areas, where the entrance is already paid. Despite the fact that the beaches by the standards of the South Coast are quite wide and numerous, during the season they are still overcrowded. Apparently affects the proximity of Yalta.
Massandra is
considered one of the most picturesque corners of the Southern coast of Crimea.
The mountains descend to the sea, the beaches alternate with pine and juniper
groves, bright sun and endless sea surface. Another pride of Massandra is the Palace of Emperor Alexander III, which was built in the late 19th century in
the Renaissance style. Next to the palace is the Massandra Park and an
observation deck.

From the point of view of entertainment, Massandra is in a rather advantageous position. Firstly, most water fun is available here, from trivial hydrocycles to diving. Secondly, it is quite quiet, nightlife does not whip over the edge, but many discos and disco bars are in neighboring Yalta. Thirdly, there are several tourist attractions in the village. Many will be interested to visit the tasting room of the winery "Massandra", the palace of Alexander III, or take a walk in Massandra Park - a monument of landscape art.
