Palaces and castles of the Southern coast are
magnificent monuments of the rich history of the Crimea. They did not survive
very much, some became museums like the Livadia and Vorontsov Palace, and some,
with the advent of Soviet power, were turned into rest homes and sanatorium
buildings. Such a fate befell the palace of Emir of Bukhara, today it is the
building of the 8th sanatorium "Yalta".

The Emir of Bukhara Palace |
The estate was a park in which several office buildings were located, a guest house and the magnificent palace of Emir Bukhara Seyid Abdul Akhan Khan. For the construction and decoration of the yard, a Crimean stone was used. Emir of Bukhara dreamed of building a beautiful small palace, not inferior in splendor to the palaces of his homeland. And he succeeded, the palace, built in an oriental style with a white-blue finish, was magnificent. The Emir of Bukhara was visited by the princes of Yusupov several times.
The happy life in the palace did not last long, Seyid
Abdul, the Emir of Bukhara, spent seven years on his estate, which he affectionately
called "Dilkiso", which means "fascinating" in Turkic
language. In the winter of 1910, the owner of the palace was gone, all property
was inherited by his son Said Mir Alim.
During the October Revolution the palace was
confiscated, and the East Museum of the Exposition was opened in its walls,
which was replenished with nationalized art objects from estates located on the
Southern coast of Crimea. During the Second World War, part of the collection
was sent to the evacuation. With the advent of peacetime, the palace becomes
one of the buildings of a medical and preventive sanatorium.
