On the
South-Western coast of the Crimea stretches the amazing and enchanting Cape of
Fiolent with its pristine nature and clean beaches. The Black Sea is crystal
clear here, rich in crabs and small fish.
Fiolent is a seven-kilometer strip of beaches with
steep cliffs and dangerous and complex descents to the beaches.
How to get to Cape
Fiolent
Cape minibuses from Sevastopol go to the cape. If you
eat in your car, there may be problems with the parking place. On the way to
Fiolent there is not a single refueling. Also take water with you. On the spot,
it will be half as expensive.
St. George Monastery and Jasper Beach
At the top of the cliff is the St. George Monastery,
one of the oldest monasteries in the Crimea, and up to the Jasper beach there
is a stone staircase with a length of 800 steps.
On the rock of the Holy Apparition there is a cross in
honor of St. George the Victorious.
Descent to the Jasper beach will take place on a stone
staircase. Sea breeze, phytoncides of juniper and pistachios create a unique
cocktail of natural inhalations that will have a positive effect on health.
Heavy descent will pay off with beautiful views of the sea and surrounding
landscapes.
Beautiful scenery will accompany you all the way.
Along the steps there are benches for rest. We do not recommend this descent to
physically weakened travelers and travelers with young children. As a rule, the
water on the Yashmov beach is colder than in Sevastopol, so it's not always
possible to swim in the open sea.
Most importantly,
back, 800 steps can not be lifted. A boat runs from Yashmova beach to Balaklava.
Boats begin to walk from Balaklava at 10 am. The ticket price is 100 rubles for
a pleasant boat trip along the Black Sea.
If you decide to
go 800 steps, be stocked with comfortable and steady shoes, be sure to bring
your headgear. Stock up on water and take provisions with you. Depart early,
when there are few tourists and summer residents (in the area of Cape Fiolent
a lot of summer cottages).
What to see on Cape Fiolent. Its wide Beaches!
Beach
"Tsarskoe Selo" with a less steep descent to the sea. Only 145 steps.
The beach is as beautiful and fascinating as Yashmovy.
Wild beach
"Grotto of Diana". Tourists are few there because of inaccessibility.
Descent to the beach leads a steep path along the cape of Lermontov. Pebble
beach with clear water.
Wild beach "Caravel". Another beach of the Crimean coast, which
was preserved in its pristine condition. Descent to the beach begins on a steep
staircase, which ends with the same steep descents along the ropes.
Wild beach "Cape Vinogradny" - here you can stay with tents, to
the coast leads a trail with a length of more than 200 m. The water here is
clean and cold.
Beach "Autobath" - to the beach leads a steep four-meter
staircase, which at the end of the descent becomes vertical.
