The history of
the creation of the "Glade of Fairy Tales" ("Polyana skazok") in Evpatoria begins back in 1939. Then
the first "inhabitants" of its territory became the heroes of the
Pushkin fairy tales, and the Glade itself was named "Pushkin's Corner".
During the Great Patriotic War, it was completely destroyed, and in 1954 - it
was rebuilt. After this, serious repair work was not carried out on the
territory. And only in the autumn of 2012, thanks to local patrons and
sculptors, fairy tales in Evpatoria were completely transformed.
Today, under the
open sky of the Glade of fairy tales are more than 15 fairy-tale characters. Peacefully
"get along" like the ancient Pushkin heroes (the Swan Princess, the
Cat scientist, etc.), and the heroes of modern fairytales and mummy cartoons
(Masha and the Bear, Smeshariki, etc.). Entrance to the
territory is free for all comers.
Glade of fairy
tales is located into the central City Park by Frunze of Evpatoria.
